Who I Am and What I Do! 

I am Mike Osorio, a successful retailer with passion for helping individuals, teams, and companies reach their potential for success and to deliver extraordinary customer experiences. 

I have enjoyed a successful 25 year executive career in department stores, luxury duty-free, and specialty food/gift retail with Macy’s, Gottschalk’s, Harry & David, and DFS Group.  I am currently the GVP of Organizational Effectiveness at DFS Group Ltd., the world’s foremost luxury travel retailer.  Prior to DFS I brought my expertise, success and passion to retailers and brands thorugh Osorio Group LLC with my powerful programs.  I maintain information about them at www.OsorioGroup.com. While I am not currently consulting, I am available for networking and expertise sharing.

Dare to be Contagious! ™ is my philosophy of combining the power of learning and knowledge with the power of sharing. I have made this phrase my motto to emphasize the critical importance of sharing our knowledge to help people and profits grow. 

The Dare to be Contagious! ™ blog is my space to share my thoughts on current retail trends, branding, consumer behavior, leadership, talent development, and more.  I will also add my passion for music, food, wine, and travel when I share information on cool products and services in these areas. 

My wife & I live in dynamic Hong Kong.  My eldest son is a development chef (and a graduate from Johnson & Wales University) and lives in Hong Kong as well.  My youngest son is thriving as a junior at the University of Missouri, Columbia.
